The Starkey X Series is their latest advancement in hearing technology. It covers many different styles of hearing aid and offers a range of colours to choose from.
The X Series is comprised of three different models known as the Wi, Xino and 3 Series. They are available in 3 levels of technology, of which the (i) 110 is the highest in the range. You can take a look at the full range of Starkey hearing aids here
The Wi Series is Starkey’s range of wireless compatible hearing aids. These can be recognised by the ‘i’ next to the number. They are available in a range of different styles including RIC (Receiver in Canal), CIC (Completely in Canal), ITC (In the Canal) and ITE (In the Ear).
The 3 Series is similar to the Wi as it has wireless compatibility and many of the same features. The difference is that this model has been redesigned for easier use. It has a new switch design to make volume and settings control much easier and also includes the Snapfit feature for easier receiver connection. The 3 series is available in two styles which are RIC (Receiver in Canal) and Mini BTE (Behind the Ear).
The Xino is a mini RIC (Receiver in Canal) hearing aid. It has a very small and attractive design and offers several of the same features as the Wi and 3 Series. This model is not compatible with wireless accessories.
These hearing aids also feature Starkey’s Hydrashield technology. This is a new coating that is applied to the hearing aids to protect it from substances like sweat or ear wax, potentially prolonging the life of the hearing aids.
The Starkey X Series (i) 110 has many excellent features that are designed to improve speech quality, noise management and to help you get the best out of your hearing aids
These channels process different frequencies to ensure you hear everything clearly. It allows the hearing aids to be tuned for your personal hearing loss.
This allows the hearing aids to be further programmed for your individual needs. Taking into account your level of hearing loss and the environments you are frequently in.
As the name suggests, this feature is designed to stop any whistling noises that may otherwise cause distortion using Starkey’s Purewave technology
This feature will analyse your environment and detect any speech patterns. It will then give priority to these speech sounds and make them clearer. On the Starkey X Series (i) 110, this feature has 5 adaptation levels to deal with the different environments and has the ability to adjust automatically.
This is the noise reduction feature from Starkey. It suppresses background noise to ensure you hear speech more clearly and the X Series (i) 110 has a noise reduction strength of up to 20 dB.
This feature allows the settings from your old hearing aids to be transferred to your new X Series hearing aid by your audiologist.
This clever feature allows the hearing aids to actually learn your preferences for things like volume levels and will adjust itself when necessary
3D Speech Mapping is only available on the X Series (i) 110. It allows your audiologist to see exactly how well speech sounds are being processed so they can ensure you are always receiving the best sound possible
Many of the styles in the X Series range can be connected to Starkey’s Surflink wireless accessories. These allow the sound from your music or media devices to be streamed directly into your hearing aids.
This accessory is designed to transmit the sound from devices such as your television, music player or radio.
This handy device also works as a media streamer but with the added feature of being able to connect to your mobile phone. It can also be used a s a remote control for the hearing aids
This is a small remote control device for your hearing aids. It has 3 different modes and allows you to adjust things like program settings and volume levels.
