Oticon More 2 Hearing Aids

The new More platform is the latest hearing device offering from world leading brand, Oticon. The More range includes the RITE-R shown above and a newly introduced RITE-T. Both the rechargeable model and the new zinc-air ( battery ) powered model are available across three technology levels. The devices are internet-enabled and Bluetooth enabled, both Made For iPhone and Made For Android. Oticon has made the More even better with new and upgraded features which build upon the original. The More 2 is the medium level of technology in the More platform.

I believe that the new More platform really offers the ultimate in hearing across their technology levels. The More 2 is the pinnacle of mid-level devices available today. More Access to Sound

Oticon believes that your brain needs wider access to your surrounding environment to help make sense of it. The original strategy with the Opn did that, it was noticeable to existing users, and it was very successful. The new features in the More deliver even more access to your surroundings. To handle that, and still give you the speech understanding that you need, they have upgraded the computer brain of the hearing aids.

New Chipset

More will be powered by a brand new chipset they are calling Polaris. After scanning and analysing the sound scene 500 times per second to understand the complexity, the device organises the sounds around you to create contrast and balance between sounds. Oticon  says in comparison to the Velox S platform such as:

• 16 times more capacity to execute advanced algorithms
• Intelligent use of industry-leading 64-channel processing
• Twice as much computation capacity and speed
• Deep Neural Network processing
• Double the precision in 1.5-5kHz frequency bands

This jump in processor power allows them to offer more in-depth processing and provide a better experience.

12 Million Sound Scenes

Oticon says that they have trained the deep neural network within More with 12 Million sound scenes so that the hearing aids can make better analysis and processing decisions instantaneously. That should mean a better experience no matter what sound environment you find yourself in.

Three Levels of Technology

The More rechargeable hearing aid will be available in three levels of technology, the More 1, the More 2 and the More 3.
