In 2013, Resound launched a more basic, lower cost addition to the Verso range. The Verso 5 is now the third level of technology in the range. You can look at the full range of ReSound hearing aids here.
These hearing aids are still available in the same range of styles including BTE (Behind the Ear), RIE (Receiver in Ear) and RM (Remote Microphone). There are also still many custom models which include ITE (In the Ear), ITC (In the Canal), CIC (Completely in Canal) and even a tiny IIC (Invisible in Canal).
The Verso 5 still contains Resound’s new technology which includes Binaural Fusion. This is the feature that allows your hearing aids to work together for your hearing loss. By communicating wirelessly and sharing the information they ensure you will always receive an even more advanced sound quality and even better noise and feedback management.
The Verso 5 has slightly fewer features than the Verso 7 or 9 but still offers a good range.
Although this is the lowest number of sound processing channels in the Verso range, it still allows your hearing aids to be programmed for your individual hearing needs
This will help to preserve natural sound quality and also features a built in wind noise manager.
This stands for Digital Feedback Suppression and helps to eliminate the feedback sounds such as humming or whistling.
The noise tracker removes unwanted background noise so you can always hear speech clearly.
Your audiologist can programme the hearing aids to adapt automatically when they detect different levels of speech.
This feature detects different levels of speech and then adjusts the microphones smoothly to retain a comfortable listening experience.
The Verso 5 hearing aids also come with the new iSolate Nanotech. This new process uses innovative nanotechnology to apply a highly resistant coating. This protects them from substances such as sweat or wax which can help to increase the life of your hearing aids
Even though the Verso 5 is a more basic option, some of the styles are still compatible with the Unite range of wireless accessories. Unlike some manufacturers, Resound accessories do not require an additional device to be worn around the neck. This makes them more convenient as nothing needs to be worn around the neck and it also means there is no extra expense.
This allows you to hear the sound from your TV clearly and comfortably as this accessory will stream the sound straight into the hearing aids.
The Mini Microphone can be conveniently placed on a table or on a person’s clothes and will stream their voice into your hearing aids. This allows you to have a normal conversation in any environment.
This accessory not only lets you hear a conversation on your mobile phone more clearly but will also send the sound into both ears at the same time.
With this remote control you can adjust things like volume and program selection without any fiddly buttons.
