The Alta Pro has been launched by Oticon as their new premium level of hearing aid technology. These aids are available in four different styles including BTE (Behind the Ear), RITE (Receiver in the Ear), ITE (In the Ear) and CIC (Completely in Canal). This range has two levels of technology with the Alta Pro being the higher of the two. You can take a look at the full range of Oticon hearing aids here.
What makes these hearing aids superior to previous models is that the Alta Pro works on Oticon’s new Inium platform technology. This gives more advanced sound processing which means an overall improved sound quality.
Along with this, Oticon have integrated some new and improved festures to further enhance the quality of your listening experience.
The purpose of these channels is to process the different frequencies and allow the hearing aids to be tuned for your particular needs. The more channels a hearing aid has, the more finely this can be done.
Binaural means that the hearing aids work together to better your hearing. With this feature, binaural technology helps to eliminate any unwanted background noise so speech is not drowned out.
This feature helps with signal and frequency processing to ensure you hear sounds as clearly as possible.
This gives you greater awareness of the direction that sounds are coming from. It also helps to separate the different sounds to improve clarity.
The feedback shield is designed to eliminate any of the annoying whistling sounds that could possibly be produced by the hearing aids.
This feature lets you personalise your hearing aids by giving you more control. You can adjust things like sound preferences, noise management, sound compression and microphone directionality to ensure you are getting just the right levels for your hearing loss.
In addition to these features, the Oticon Alta Pro also has an innovative new coating to protect the hearing aids. It creates a barrier to shield them from substances like wax, dust or sweat. Some of the internal components also have an additional Nano coating to give them extra protection.
Some of the styles in this range can also be connected to Oticon’s Connectline range of accessories. This can give you more freedom to enjoy everyday activities by pairing the hearing aids to a number of your audio devices.
This accessory is used to relay the signals from other devices into your hearing aids. It can be conveniently worn about your person for hands free streaming. It can also be used to control the volume and settings of your hearing aids.
When used with the streamer, this is able to send the signal from your television into the hearing aids giving you a clearer sound.
This device allows you to connect the hearing aids directly to your landline phone. This means that as well as improved clarity, you can hear the conversation in both ears.
This accessory is for use in situations where conversation may be difficult. It will pick up the sound of another person’s voice and send it directly into the hearing aids so you don’t need to worry about background noise.
